It was quite different starting the year showing with the Port Colborne Saddle Club in May and especially since the show on the 24th was an English only show. The club has been successfully holding shows for approximately 54 years and as a trial for one year, the executive is trying separating the days English shows on one day, and Western shows on another - moving their 5 shows to 10 for the year.
As mentioned, the first English show of the season was held this past weekend, complete with ribbon cutting ceremony and in excess of 35 entries for the day. The competition was good, with all attending enjoying the day, having fun and getting good information from the extremely friendly, and informative judge. Entries are sure to grow for the next show after such a successful event.
