03.23.09 NEW Equine Event Management Course
Equine Guelph Research Performance & Education is now offering a new course on Equine Event Management. This course is one of th electives of the University of Guelph's "Equine Business Management Certificate" program. The course will give the management skills required to "oversee a horse show/sale/clinic or other event.
Topics include:
• developing an event plan
• evaluating facility requirements
• assessing environmental impacts, health & safety and risk management of horses and humans
• marketing and communications
• financial planning & reporting
• managing staff and volunteers
• sponsorship & funding
• event logistics
• evaluating the event.
