Niagara Cup Series: Series schedule should be complete and available for the next issue of Equine Niagara News.
Niagara Horse & Rider: It's back. After speaking with the editor last night Equine Niagara News has learned that the next issue of the magazine is currently at the printers ready for distribution this weekend or by Monday at the latest. It's long overdue and well anticipated.
Niagara EqWine Festival: Plans are underway for a "big" equine event to take place this fall here in Niagara - September 25th, 26th and 27th to be exact. The event is being organized by Elie BenDavid of Niagara Horse & Rider. He is anticipating a huge draw for this 3-day event encompassing both the equine industry as well as the wine industry. Elie tells Equine Niagara News Chris Irwin and the Wild Wild West Show have confirmed for those dates and he is still working on getting the Canadian Cow Girls here as well. Live bands, vendors, music, trail rides, horse shows and clinics are all expected to take place at the event, with hopes to draw competitors and visitors from all over Ontario and Western New York. Equine Niagara News wishes Elie good luck in putting this event together.
New Major Equine Facility In The Works: Equine Niagara News has also discovered the possibility of a major equine facility being built in the Niagara Region. While we have absolutely no details, we do know a survey is being conducted here in Niagara to determine whether the Niagara Region equine industry can support a large facility for multi-purpose use. No land has been purchased as of yet, like we said, this is in the early planning stages. Let us know your thoughts on this one! Editor's Note: While Equine Niagara News' survey is not over until the end of the month, those that have completed it have asked for such a facility to house more clinics and day camps for children. Interesting!
